The Jared Rimer Network's Privacy Policy and procedures

Welcome to the privacy policies and procedures section of the Jared Rimer Network. This will describe whats on each web site, any information collected, and what we do with it. Should you have any concerns, you may contact the Jared Rimer Network through our contact form or by giving Jared Rimer a call.

1. Web sites
• We have quite a number of web sites hosted under the Jared Rimer network. We will attempt to describe what the web sites are, if any information is collected, and what its purposes for collecting the information will be used for. Should we add more web sites, they will be added to this list.
• The home page of this web site lists all of the sub domains and pages around the network. This page includes links to this privacy policy page, a whats new page, and a contact page.
• The contact page has all of Jared's contact information including a bug reporting and contact form. All information asked for is optional except for a valid E-mail address. This may change, and the policy will be updated if it does.
• Jared's live journal is there as a blogging platform. I'll blog about whatever I want. for people over 18 recommended although I'm not responsible if you are under 18. Live Journal is separate from this network, and I'm not responsible for errors or issues here.
• MENVI has its own privacy policy. You should read it when visiting its web page as we talk about different aspects of places where personal information is collected and used. Please read its policies.
• Jared's Personal Web Page is where you can find information about me. I have a contact form on that page to which you can contact me. The information is used to contact you, then discarded.
• Jared's Podcasts list all of the podcasts in which he partakes or is involved in. No information is taken from this page.
• jaredrimer.info is now a web site designed to promote a project for teaching Braille Transcription with Braill2000 for the blind such as myself. Using the course as a guide, I teach Braille2000 and its new talking edition released November 21, 2019. Contact info is given, but no personal information is collected.
• Michelledyermemorial.com is a memorial site for a dear friend of Jared's. No personal information is collected.
• jaredrimer.com is hhosted offsite, and will include an IP unblocking form for customers to report issues accessing their accounts or E-mail across the network. The form asks for information to verify their identity across the network. The IP is collected to be sent on to the provider, once resolved, the form is disgarded. jaredrimer.com also will have our users list where we can communicate with customers.
• The Technology Blog and Podcast is a podcast and blog web site where you can register to comment, and contact information is given on a page about the blog and podcast. External links may be provided that are not part of the network. We do not collect personal information on that site except for E-mail, but I don't easily have access to that. Passwords can't be seen by me, but I can reset it if you give me your user name.
• Jared's twitter page is linked so you can find out what Jared is up to. Twitter is a separate web site so we're not responsible for any errors on that web site.
• Jared's whats new page lists what has been updated and whats new on the network. News is cycled after some time, so check it out from time to time to be sure you're kept up to date.
• The advertise with us page lists guidelines, and so forth in regards to posting advertised web sites with the Jared Rimer Network. We do not collect any personal information on the web page.
• The family section of sites may or may not have their own policies on information gathering. The Jared Rimer Netowrk just hosts the pages, we do not monitor whats on them, and we don't govern their use. Please contact the admins if you have any concerns.
2. E-mail addresses
• There will be E-mail addresses that will be handed out over the network. Mainly those people who had addresses on WBBY's suite of networks including codeamber and personal. Here is what you are going to agree to.
• You agree not to use your E-mail address to send out spam, harass, threaten, slander, give out people's personal information, send harmful material including viruses, worms, etc.
• If you do any of these things (upon a report to me or anyone that is designated to help me) you will be called by me to find out what the problem was. If there is enough proof without a phone call, your address will go. If we call you, we will talk to you, and find out what happened, and a decision will be made at that time.
• All addresses on the network will have a limit of 25mb (megabytes) for your E-mail. Unless you previously had a higher limit, you must have this limit of 25mb.
• The Jared Rimer Network will not monitor your E-mail. Should you lose your password, your account is compromised, or anything is done with your account without your knowledge, the Jared Rimer Network must be notified as soon as you know something is wrong. We will disable the address upon an E-mail or phone call. Should you have only lost your password, we will call you to reset your password, no exceptions!)
• The Jared Rimer Network has the right to terminate your account upon a report by anyone, and may disable your account by changing its password, or deleting it without notice to you. Depending on the situation is dependant on this policy. We will endeavor to call you first and give you 7 days to return our call. This will allow time for us so that we can return your call since we will have a full time job.
3. E-mail lists
• There will be E-mail lists listed on the network. The Jared Rimer Network is not responsible for anything on these lists that do not pertain to the network. If any other lists exist either by us creating them for others, or if they move an existing list to our domains, we will not be responsible for their content.
4. Hacking
• There are certain restrictions placed on the network after so many failed attempts of logging in to certain aspects of the network. If you are a customer that tries to log in after so many attempts, a block may be imposed. We can help you with this issue, by going to jaredrimer.com for more info.
• Non-customers: to get unblocked, you must have E-mail or FTP acccess to services belonging to the Jared Rimer Network for us to help you.
• Trying to gain access without proper authorization MAY get you in to trouble, and your IP may be blocked from the entire network. The JRN is not responsible for your actions unless a mistake was made and you are a customer or belonging to an entity that is hosted through the network.
